Job summary

Alpha is hiring for a full-time, on-site Academic Coach positioned on a Boston campus. You’ll guide K-3 learners through app-based learning, diagnose reading gaps, and run focused literacy sessions, keeping students engaged from launch through closing.

You’ll work with 4–6-year-olds using structured sequences, monitor weekly progress, and partner with families using data to name gaps and drive improvement. Relocation support available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in any subject.
• Completed structured-literacy training: LETRS, IMSE, Orton-Gillingham, Wilson Reading System, Fundations, UFLI, CERI, Neuhaus, SIPPS, Really Great Reading, or similar; or a master's in reading or literacy.
• At least 3 years working directly with children ages 4-9 in coaching/teaching/tutoring roles.
• At least 2 years teaching reading in grades K-3 within the last 5 years.
• Legally authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Coach students through app-based core learning and diagnose gaps.
• Lead short structured-literacy sessions for 2–4 students.
• Maintain daily schedules from launch to closing and monitor progress.
