Job summary

Ansonia Public Schools seeks a Math Instructional Coach for Mead School (K-2) to strengthen numeracy instruction for the 2026-27 school year. Under the supervision of the District Math Director, the coach will model lessons, co-teach, and provide ongoing professional learning to teachers.

Qualifications

• Must hold CT elementary certification and have strong numeracy knowledge.
• 5+ years teaching, preferably in primary grades.
• Experience with CCSS mathematics and district programs.

Responsibilities

• Strengthen mathematics instruction and student achievement.
• Co-teach and model effective math lessons.
• Provide professional learning and ongoing instructional support.
• Analyze assessments to guide instruction and feedback.
• Support district-wide math program implementation.
• Collaborate with staff to differentiate math instruction.
• Serve as math resource for staff, students, families.
