Qualifications

• Two years of post-secondary study or equivalent.
• Associate's Degree or higher or PDE Credentials of Competency.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Background checks required and ability to comply with district policies.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist with student mobility.

Responsibilities

• Discusss assigned teaching area with classroom teacher to coordinate instructional efforts.
• Assists students, individually or in groups, with lesson assignments.
• Assists teacher in devising strategies based on individual student needs.
• Guides independent study, enrichment activities, and remedial tasks.
• Reads to students and participates in oral communication with students.
• Distributes and collects materials and assists with arrival/dismissal.
• Maintains confidentiality of pupil records and supports state reporting.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
