Job summary

Upper Moreland Township School District is seeking an Instructional Paraprofessional for Middle School to support students with IEPs under supervision of building principal and special education staff. This position is full-time, 10 months, with an anticipated start date in late August.

Duties include assisting with lessons, reading to students, collecting data, supervising tests, and aiding with arrival/dismissal, transfers, and personal care as needed.

Qualifications

• Two years of post-secondary study or higher education; PDE Credentials of Competency.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• 20 hours of staff development related to the assignment.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist with wheelchair/adaptive equipment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate instructional efforts with classroom teacher.
• Assist students individually or in groups with lessons.
• Assist in devising strategies based on individual needs and abilities.
• Guide independent study and remedial tasks.
• Read to students and supervise reading and testing.
