Job summary

Upper Moreland Township School District, Inc. is seeking an Instructional Assistant for the Primary School (K-2) to support multiple students. The role reports to the building principal and is part-time with a January 2027 through April 2027 schedule.

Responsibilities include assisting students, bus duties, field trips, and data collection while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to district policies. CPR/First Aid is preferred and background checks are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Regularly able to talk, hear, and use hands to move objects.
• Must pass all background and security checks.
• Comply with district employment policies and laws.

Responsibilities

• Provides support and assistance to students.
• Assists student in boarding and/or riding bus.
• Accompanies student on field trips.
• Observes and reports unusual or atypical student behavior to teacher.
• Respects confidentiality of pupil records and school reports.
• Assist in collecting academic data.
• Assists teacher with development of learning materials.
• Provides classroom support to the teacher.
• Maintains a safe, orderly, and clean learning environment.
• Other duties as assigned.
