Unlimited Instruction, LLC is seeking teachers to lead, change, and inspire students in the Birmingham, AL area as classroom teachers in a pathway program within special education.

Candidates with a bachelor’s degree can participate in the pathway to become provisional SPED licensed for the 2026-27 year and beyond. The role emphasizes building relationships, assessing student progress, and collaborating with staff to support diverse learners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree program in any field from a regionally accredited university or institution.
• Completed foundations of special education course or willing to take it as a term of employment.
• Will work towards provisional Special Education License from the state of Alabama.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain effective relationships with students, peers, administrators, support staff and parents.
• Continually assess and monitor student achievement and maintain all documents and evaluations for institutional and individual reporting purposes.
• Design and implement appropriate instructional and/or learning strategies and activities.
• Manage student behaviors in the instructional setting to ensure an environment that is conducive to the learning process.
• Assist in management of student behaviors in other parts of the school, center, school grounds, or work site.
• Coordinate instructional activities with other professional staff, both school and non-school based as required, to maximize student learning opportunities.
• Participate in in-service and professional development activities and staff meetings, as required or assigned.
• Communicate with students on instructional expectations to keep them informed of their progress in meeting those expectations.
• Communicate with parents through conferences and other means.
• Collaborate with other professionals and support staff to carry out schoolwide instructional or related activities as needed.
• Use multi-media and other technologies to enhance learning.
• Plan and implement lessons based on division and school objectives for students with varying ability.
• Provide development, management, and support for IEPs, BSPs, etc.
• Other duties as assigned.
