Job summary

The Special Education Teacher at Amergis provides quality services to students from kindergarten through grade 12. This role collaborates with the Special Education Program Administrator and general education staff to plan and implement individualized programs.

Minimum requirements include a Bachelor's Degree and a valid state teaching certificate. LBS1 endorsement is preferred; CPR and health certifications must be current where applicable, with compliance to all regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
• Valid state teaching certificate as required by state regulations.
• LBS1 endorsement preferred.
• Current CPR and health certification as applicable.
• Meet all federal, state, and local requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality services to special education students from kindergarten through grade 12.
• Participate in planning and implementing student programs with general education staff.
• Consult with general education staff and provide tutorials and special instruction.
• Maintain compliance with professional standards and health/safety requirements.
