Job summary

Devereux Day Academy in Landenberg, PA is seeking an Instructional Support Specialist to assist with academic, social, and behavioral needs for students with diverse learning needs. This role supports teachers, follows classroom directions, and contributes to creating a positive educational environment.

Hours are Monday–Friday, 8am–4pm, year-round. Qualifications include a high school diploma; an associate degree or two years of post-secondary education is preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma required; Associates Degree or completion of two years post-secondary education preferred.
• Experience: Previous work in special education or behavioral healthcare with students is preferred.
• Devereux policy: zero-tolerance for abuse and strong reporting culture.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the health and safety of the students.
• Provide assistance with academic, social and behavioral needs.
• Support the teacher and administration's directions while reporting progress daily.
• Reinforce PBIS goals and objectives.
