Job summary

Devereux Brandywine School in West Chester, PA seeks an Instructional Support Specialist to assist teachers with academic, social and behavioral needs for students with special needs, delivering one-on-one support and tutoring as directed.

The 52-week, Mon–Fri 8am–4pm role offers pay of $17.50–$19.95 per hour, tuition assistance, and benefits eligibility after 30 days, within Devereux's multi-faceted educational program.

Qualifications

• EDUCATION: High School Diploma required. Associates Degree or completion of two years of post-secondary education from an accredited college or university preferred.
• EXPERIENCE : Previous experience working in a special education or behavioral healthcare setting with students with severe/complex behavioral/emotional issues preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring the health and safety of youth in the school
• Provide assistance with academic, social and behavioral needs.
• Support the teacher and administration's direction while supporting youth and reporting progress daily.
• Support and reinforce PBIS goals and objectives

Education
