Job summary

Devereux Day Academy in Landenberg, PA is seeking an Instructional Support Specialist to assist with academic, social and behavioral needs for students in a K-12 program. The role supports teachers and administrators and includes one-on-one tutoring as needed.

The position offers Monday–Friday, 8am–4pm, a 52-week schedule, tuition assistance for further study, and benefits eligibility after 30 days of employment, plus the ASCEND Career Accelerator Program.

Qualifications

• EDUCATION: High School Diploma required. Associates Degree or two years post-secondary education preferred.
• EXPERIENCE: Previous experience in a special education or behavioral healthcare setting with students with severe/complex issues preferred.
• Devereux has a zero-tolerance policy for abuse and maintains policies to reduce risk.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the health and safety of the students.
• Provide assistance with academic, social and behavioral needs.
• Support the teacher and administration's direction while reporting progress daily.
• Reinforce PBIS goals and objectives.
