Job summary

Clayton County Public Schools in Riverdale, Georgia is seeking a Special Education Audiologist to provide comprehensive audiological evaluations for general and special education students and to manage the Hearing Impaired population. You will coordinate mass hearing screenings, staff trainings, and inventory related tasks to support student learning.

The position requires a Master’s degree in Audiology and at least 3 years of audiological experience with Students with Disabilities, plus Georgia

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Audiology required.
• Minimum 3 years audiological experience working with students with Disabilities.
• Experience in a K-12 public school environment or with children of all ages; experience with Students with Disabilities preferred.
• Georgia Professional Licensure S-5.
• Strong collaboration and communication with teachers, parents and community.
• Proficient with computer and technology to improve efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provides comprehensive audiological evaluations for general and special education students.
• Manages Hearing Impaired population and fitting of personal FM systems.
• Coordinates and supervises mass hearing screenings district-wide; staff trainings on the impact of hearing loss.
• Collaborates with classroom teachers to provide appropriate services for disabled students.
• Liaises with school administrators and Division of Exceptional Students to enhance learning benefits.
