Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate specialized instruction based on IEP goals.
• Consult with classroom teachers and parents to coordinate services for hearing impaired students.
• Coordinate materials, aids and equipment to maximize participation.
• Instruct on development of skills outlined in the IEP.
• Collaborate with special and general education staff on IEPs and services.
• Attend IEP meetings and required staff meetings.
• Conduct and report functional hearing assessments.
• Analyze student progress and adjust interventions as needed.
• Use technology to enhance student learning.
• Plan and supervise aides/assistants in the classroom.
• Maintain productive classroom environment and manage behavior.
