Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Signed Exact English, American Sign Language, or other sign language systems.
• Knowledge of audio support systems and their use in classrooms.
• Ability to interpret spoken English at a rate appropriate for job performance.
• Experience with IEP/ MDT processes and collaboration with educational teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide sign to voice/voice to sign interpreting for students and staff.
• Participate in IEP/MDT meetings to advise on communication strategies.
• Consult with teachers and staff regularly to support students.
• Provide tutoring, notetaking, or other support as needed.
• Maintain certification (EIPA or equivalent) and engage in ongoing professional development.
