Job summary

Brooke Charter Schools invites applications for a School Adjustment Counselor/School Social Worker for the 2026-2027 school year at Brooke East Boston.

You will support students with social-emotional development, self-regulation, and advocacy, while collaborating with families and colleagues to ensure access to services. Eligible licenses and a strong commitment to equity are required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate social-emotional skills.
• Commitment to anti-racist practices and equity in education.
• Experience providing direct student support and collaborating with families.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct social-emotional support to individuals and small groups.
• Create and implement positive behavioral plans for students.
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and school teams to coordinate services.
• Conduct crisis interventions, risk assessments, and safety planning.
• Write and implement IEP goals and conduct functional behavioral assessments.
• Engage with parents to discuss progress and referrals to external resources.
