Job summary

Brooke Charter Schools in Boston seeks a School Psychologist to provide direct support to students and collaborate with families and staff. You will help design behavioral and academic plans and support students across K-12.

You will conduct cognitive, academic, attention, social-emotional and functional behavior assessments, participate in IEP meetings, screen classrooms, and coordinate referrals to external agencies as needed.

Qualifications

• Must hold MA Board of Allied Mental Health Professionals Educational Psychologist license, NASP national certification, or MA DESE school psychologist license.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to individual and small groups in social skills, self-regulation, self-advocacy and related areas.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, acting as liaison between school, student, parent and external agencies.
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations including cognitive, academic, attention, social-emotional and functional behavior assessments.
• Perform classroom screening to assist teachers in planning effective educational strategies.
• Participate actively in IEP and child study team meetings to produce comprehensive educational plans.
• Make referrals to external agencies and appropriate programs; provide crisis intervention when needed.
