Job summary

Montgomery-Public-Schools seeks a qualified administrator with a Master’s degree and principal certification to lead school operations in Alabama. The role requires classroom teaching or administrative experience and a strong grasp of education laws and policies at state and county levels.

The candidate must be able to plan, organize, and prioritize, communicate effectively, and work with diverse populations while meeting ABA/FBI background checks as mandated by law.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of laws regulations and policies governing education in state and county.
• Knowledge of curriculum and instructional programs and best practices for appropriate level.
• Willingness to learn budgetary and supervisory responsibilities.
• Skill to work with people in an effective manner.
• Knowledge of scheduling and supervision.
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
• Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize.
• Ability to use data in the decision-making process.
• Ability to work with diverse populations.
• Proactive orientation.
• Knowledge of special education mandates.
• A valid background review conducted by the ABI and FBI pursuant to the Alabama Child Protection Act of 1999 and ACT No. 2002-457, be fingerprinted and pay a $48.15 fee.
