Responsibilities

• Develops and implements a program of instruction that meets student needs and aligns with system and state courses of study.
• Plans and implements a variety of instructional strategies to serve diverse needs.
• Manages classroom behavior and participates in broader behavior management across the school.
• Communicates instructional expectations and student progress to students and parents.
• Maintains assessment records and documentation for reporting purposes.
• Participates in professional growth and collaborates with school personnel.
• Ensures a safe, healthy, and conducive learning environment.
• Maintains confidentiality of student records and information.
• Maintains valid Alabama teaching certification and renews as required.
• Attends scheduled work times and adheres to policy for absences and leave.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
