Job summary

Chartwells K-12 is seeking an Operations Kitchen Supervisor to support Billings Public Schools by overseeing a production kitchen and multiple satellite ship-out locations, ensuring timely preparation and service of nutritious meals for 34 schools and 16,000+ students.

The role leads a hands-on team of up to eight Food Service Workers, managing food orders, inventory, production schedules, and sanitation compliance, while occasionally supporting catering events.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree, or comparable experience preferred.
• 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Supervisory, leadership, management and coaching skills.
• Communication skills both written and verbal and ability to communicate with management, client, customer and associate levels.

Responsibilities

• Oversee production kitchen with satellite ship-out locations to ensure timely preparation and service of high-quality meals.
• Manage food ordering, inventory, production schedules, and compliance with all food safety and sanitation regulations.
• Lead and develop a team of up to eight Food Service Workers within the site, fostering a positive, accountable culture.
• Ensure optimal customer service and client satisfaction while meeting cost and quality expectations.
• Assist with cashiering responsibilities and cash handling as needed.
