Job summary

Chartwells K12 in Billings, MT is hiring for a full-time Food Unit Lead with an early shift (5:30 am–1:30 pm) at Billings Public Schools. The role coordinates activities of other food-service staff and ensures a high-quality dining experience for students and staff.

You will supervise preparation, service and sanitation, help plan menus, and train employees while maintaining accurate reports and cash handling. Training is available and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Prior management experience preferred.
• 1–3 years of kitchen experience required.
• Flexibility with shift schedule.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates activities of other food-service employees.
• Oversees preparation and service of food in line with standards.
• Plans menus and ensures timely meal service; supervises serving of meals.
• Responds to customer complaints and trains staff to maintain quality.
• Coordinates work schedules and expedites workflow.
• Maintains daily/weekly/monthly reports and cash handling per policy.
