Job summary

CityWorks DC is seeking a Hire Local DC K-12 Manager to lead partnerships with Local Education Agencies and schools for the DC Builds DC Sector Partnership. This full-time role reports to the VP of Strategic Initiatives and collaborates with CityWorks DC's team to advance apprenticeship prep and career exploration programs in DC.

The ideal candidate will manage school-facing programs, coordinate data entry and reporting, engage stakeholders, and contribute to HLDC team efforts.

Qualifications

• Experience with career and technical education (CTE), work-based learning (WBL), industry engagement, and collaboration with Registered Apprenticeship Sponsors (union and non-union).
• Strong relationships with school and LEA leaders in the District of Columbia, with a preference for previous work experience in DC schools.
• Experience with data collection, analysis, and presentation, with a preference for familiarity with Excel and Monday.com.
• Organized, detail-oriented, self-starter.
• Able to effectively work both independently and with a team.
• Strong communication skills across multiple stakeholder groups.
• Comfort in knowing when to ask for help/clarification.
• Commitment to achieving racial equity and belief in the potential of all people.
• Excellent project and time management; juggling multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• School-facing Program Management: liaise between LEAs and stakeholders to ensure Apprenticeship Prep and Career Exploration programs run with fidelity.
• Data Entry: ensure data related to programs is collected and entered timely; document data improvement needs.
• Stakeholder Engagement & Communications: serve as main contact for school leaders and lead communications with DC Builds DC partners.
• HLDC Team Efforts: prepare presentations and staff HLDC events and convenings.
