Job summary

UCP of Central Florida seeks a paraprofessional to provide instructional support in a K-12 classroom, supporting students with and without disabilities. The role includes leading the class in the absence of the teacher and assisting with lesson plans and materials.

The position emphasizes data collection, progress monitoring, and collaboration with teachers to ensure effective instruction and inclusive learning environments.

Qualifications

• Associate degree (or equivalent) in education or related field with 6 education credits if related field
• Score of 464 or higher on the ETS Parapro test

Responsibilities

• Implement lessons and instructional groups per teacher instructions
• Assist in planning and preparing instructional materials
• Aid in administering assessments and progress monitoring
• Document academic progress through observations and data collection
• Support behavior management and data collection in class
• Fill in teacher duties during absence
• Attend required trainings and communicate with staff/parents
