Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; supplemented by minimum two (2) years working with school age children in an educational environment.
• Experience with students with exceptional needs preferred; ability to learn district ESE training within 45 days.

Responsibilities

• Provides instructional, vocational and developmental assistance to students as prescribed by supervising teacher.
• Assists students with daily living skills and mobility during school activities.
• Monitors student behavior and documents changes and events as directed.
• Supports teachers in lesson preparation and classroom activities; helps with materials and records.
• Assists in supervision during transit, lunch, and other times as assigned.
