Job summary

Ampersand Therapy is seeking dedicated paraprofessionals for a full-time K-12 school setting in Aurora, CO. You will provide direct 1:1 or small group support to students, helping them access education and succeed in the classroom.

As part of a collaborative team, you will implement behavior plans, support academics, and reinforce social-emotional skills while coordinating with teachers and related service providers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with children or individuals with special needs preferred.
• Strong communication, patience, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to follow direction and support behavior and academic plans.
• School-based or paraprofessional experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 or small group support to students in the classroom.
• Assist with implementing behavior plans and classroom strategies.
• Support students with academic tasks and daily routines.
• Help reinforce social, emotional, and communication skills.
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and related service providers.
• Assist with classroom management and maintaining a positive learning environment.
• Support students with transitions throughout the school day.
• Maintain basic documentation as needed.
