Job summary

Bank Street Education Center seeks a Math Coach & Facilitator to support coaching and facilitation in K-12 math, especially for middle and high school grades. The role emphasizes equity, data-informed practice, and collaboration with district partners.

You will coach teachers, develop resources, and lead professional learning while aligning with the Ed Center's coaching model. Travel to Queens North is required.

Qualifications

• Background in curriculum, instruction, professional development, and/or assessment in mathematics.
• Knowledge of high-quality math materials (e.g., Illustrative Math) in NYC contexts.
• Expertise in constructivist math approaches.
• Experience with continuous improvement methodologies.
• Strong communication skills (email, writing, in-person).
• Proficient with Google Suite and data-capturing tools like Qualtrics.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct coaching to teachers and school teams, virtually or in-person.
• Maintain clear communication with teachers, principals, and district partners.
• Facilitate teacher teams to analyze practice and inequitable outcomes.
• Create coaching resources aligned with Bank Street's approach.
• Reflect on coaching to strengthen the Ed Center model.
• Develop and deliver professional learning aligned to goals.
• Work with analysts to identify coaching goals and data tools.
• Complete coaching logs and provide updates in weekly meetings.
• Participate in and support learning sessions and projects.
• Collaborate with leads to monitor coaching progress and impact.
