Job summary

Newsela is seeking an Educational Data Analyst to design and maintain dashboards for school district administrators. You will translate complex educational data into actionable insights and collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and Product to enhance the data platform.

You will report to the Head of Data Science and work remotely in the United States, with a focus on improving educational outcomes and data-informed decision making across K-12 classrooms.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as a data analyst, data engineer, or similar role.
• Experience with educational data and familiarity with K-12 schools.
• Advanced SQL skills.
• Experience with data visualization tools and dashboard design.
• Ability to translate complex data into actionable information.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain customized data dashboards.
• Manage and update data integrations.
• Interact with school district administrators to understand needs and educate stakeholders.
• Provide ongoing support by troubleshooting data quality issues and ensuring reliable reporting.
• Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and Product to enhance the data platform.
