Job summary

Data Insight Partners, LLC is seeking a Junior Data Analyst to support the creation of interactive, user-friendly data reports for K-12 education. This is a fully remote entry-level role with flexible scheduling, comprehensive healthcare benefits, and mentorship to grow in data analytics and reporting.

You will build reports and visualizations, manage data ingestion and cleaning, and write SQL queries to prepare datasets for analysis.

Qualifications

• Experience writing SQL queries by hand (no visual query builder) across multiple tables.
• Translate real-world business rules into SQL and data visualizations.
• Read and adapt existing SQL queries for new requirements.
• Analyze large datasets to identify issues or trends.
• Attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Collaborate with others to solve problems based on user needs.
• Identify root causes of data issues and propose improvements.
• Familiarity with version control tools (Git).
• Strong written communication and documentation skills.
• Remote work discipline and time management.

Responsibilities

• Build reports and visualizations making education data accessible for students, families, and staff.
• Develop and maintain data ingestion, cleaning, and transformation processes.
• Write and troubleshoot SQL queries to prepare datasets for analysis.
• Identify patterns and errors in large datasets and design solutions.
• Collaborate to translate needs into technical solutions.
• Help onboard districts and schools by configuring the application to fit data and reporting needs.
• Document new and existing processes.
