Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. is seeking a dedicated instructional assistant to support students with intensive behavioral needs within in-district classrooms and standalone schools.

You will work one-on-one with assigned students, implement individualized behavior support plans, and help them develop essential life and social skills. Join a multidisciplinary team focused on data-driven, evidence-based learning and PBIS CASE framework.

Qualifications

• High school diploma.
• Experience working in an educational setting implementing behavioral interventions for students with intensive behavioral needs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with diverse students from varying backgrounds.
• Work one on one with an assigned student to meet IEP goals with accommodations.
• Assist in developing and modifying behavior support plans.
• Implement behavior support plans and track data on progress and incidents.
• Utilize behavior support and intervention strategies.
• Assist in de-escalation and crisis management as needed to ensure safety.
• Foster a positive, inclusive environment supporting social and behavioral skill development.
• Supervise students and ensure safe movement to and from locations.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure consistent plan implementation.
• Provide personal care support as needed by the student.
• Communicate effectively with parents.
