Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) is seeking a dedicated behavior aide to support K-12 students with special needs in our in-district classrooms and standalone programs.

You will work closely with teachers to implement individualized plans, monitor progress, and reinforce skills with data-driven methods. The role emphasizes safety, de-escalation, and collaboration within a team, with a focus on respectful, evidence-based PBIS practices.

Qualifications

• Experience working with students with special needs in an educational setting.
• Able to collaborate with teachers to deliver individualized support.
• Strong communication and patience in classroom settings.

Responsibilities

• Work with diverse group of students from varying backgrounds.
• Lead small group instruction alongside the teacher.
• Assist with assessments and monitor progress.
• Reinforce learning and assign relevant tasks based on data.
• Assist with large group activities and formatting accommodations as needed.
• Utilize behavior support strategies and de-escalation techniques.
• Transport students using the school van.
