Lawrence North High School is looking for applicants with a strong background in softball for an assistant coaching position. Lawrence North has an enrollment of approximately 2850 students and is a member of the MIC conference, one of the best athletic and academic conferences in the state. LN has two softball fields on campus, with the varsity field getting turf and lights in 2023. Previous coaching and playing experience is required. This position involves building positive relationships with student athletes and teaching life lessons through the sport of softball. Assistant coaches will help prepare and implement practice and game plans. The coach will supervise, instruct, and advise athletes during practices and matches stressing teamwork, competitiveness and sportsmanship. The coach will be expected to communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and school personnel. The high school coaching staff is expected to be involved in the development of the sport of softball at the middle school level and feeder systems in the Lawrence Community.
