Job summary

The Wayne County Department of Juvenile and Youth Services is seeking a Department Manager 4 to lead quality assurance and compliance across contracted juvenile justice providers. You will supervise Contract Managers, oversee audits, investigations, and fiscal reviews, and ensure adherence to state regulations and JAIS reporting.

Responsibilities include developing QA plans, coordinating with Management & Budget, and delivering training to Contract Managers to promote best practices.

Qualifications

• Twelve years of experience in child welfare/juvenile justice or related services with at least six years in supervisory roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision and oversight of Contract Managers, including audits, investigations, and performance evaluations of CMOs and other contracted programs.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with contractual, regulatory, and policy requirements across all service providers.
• Compile and prepare Federal, State, and local funding and performance reports.
• Assist in the development and implementation of Quality Improvement and Quality Assurance plans.
• Collaborate with Management and Budget to conduct fiscal reviews and ensure financial accountability and adherence to regulations.
• Develop and maintain the Annual Compliance Audit schedule and review QA plans for effectiveness.
