Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a related field from an accredited college or university with two years of job-related experience in human services delivery.
• Alternatively, four years of direct case management experience with offenders and their families.
• State of Georgia POST certification within six months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Interview probationers and parolees regularly to evaluate progress and compliance with probation contracts.
• Recommend remedial actions or initiate court actions for non-compliance.
• Administer drug and alcohol tests to verify participation in treatment programs.
• Prepare and maintain case folders for each offender and document progress.
• Testify in court regarding offenders' backgrounds and recommended sentencing conditions.
• Inform offenders of requirements for conditional release and occupational/educational stipulations.
• Supervise community-based sentences and conduct field visits.

Education

Associate degree in a related field

Bachelor's degree preferred

Two years of job-related experience

Four years direct case management experience
