Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Juvenile Corrections Security Officer - Credential Access in Columbia, SC. You will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and assist visitors with professionalism at a government location.

A valid driver’s license is required; driving roles apply to driving positions only. You will use technology to support badge and access processes, communicate clearly with staff and guests, and help maintain an orderly environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of security-related experience.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screening required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, youth, and authorized personnel.
• Monitor and control access to government facility entrances and issue visitor credentials.
• Observe and report unusual activity and policy violations.
• Respond to incidents and document actions taken.
• Conduct regular patrols to deter unauthorized access.
