Job summary
Staff Today Inc. in Downey, CA is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to work with juvenile inmate patients in a secure setting. You will assess health conditions, administer medications, document EMR entries, and coordinate care with physicians and a multidisciplinary team.
CA-licensed RNs with 1 year of correctional or juvenile care experience are preferred. BLS/ACLS/PALS and other required certifications apply.
Qualifications
- Current, valid CA license as a Registered Nurse.
- Minimum of 1 year as a Correctional RN or in a similar setting.
- BLS/ACLS/PALS and additional certifications required.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients’ health conditions and develop care plans.
- Administer medications and monitor progress.
- Document assessments, interventions and outcomes in EMR.
- Coordinate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses and discharge instructions.
- Maintain infection control standards and regulatory compliance.
