Job summary

Roadrunner Health Services is seeking a registered nurse to provide holistic care for incarcerated patients under the direction of the Nursing Director. The role emphasizes autonomy, collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, and adherence to correctional policies and HIPAA.

Responsibilities include developing and revising treatment plans, documenting health data, administering medications, and ensuring patient safety in routine and emergency settings. TB and CPR credentials are required.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid RN license in the applicable state.
• Must show current tuberculosis documentation and active CPR certification.
• Must be able to pass background investigation and obtain agency security clearance where applicable.
• Prior experience providing nursing care with a high degree of autonomy.
• Experience with direct care in correctional environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to develop and revise individualized treatment plans.
• Communicate with team members and document findings.
• Collect and document health information, lab results, and EKGs; share with team.
• Provide direct and indirect nursing care in routine and emergency situations within correctional rules.
• Administer medications and monitor outcomes; document results.
