Job summary
Aquatech in Sabine Pass, LA is seeking a Junior Operator to join our industrial water treatment team. You will monitor plant operation, record data, perform chemistry checks, and support daily plant activities in a fast-paced facility.
Ideal candidates have hands-on experience with water treatment processes, basic water chemistry, and familiarity with PLC/HMI systems. A high school diploma and willingness to work rotating shifts are required; safety and teamwork are essential.
Qualifications
- Experience operating and maintaining industrial water treatment plants including pretreatment, demineralization, RO, UF, EDI, ZLD.
- Basic water chemistry knowledge.
- Ability to perform basic water analysis in the lab.
- Experience maintaining daily/weekly operation logs.
- Exposure to PLC/HMI based plant operation systems.
- TWIC Card and High School Diploma.
Responsibilities
- Monitor plant operation and keep records of operation.
- Carry out quality checks and chemistry control.
- Report abnormalities to the plant supervisor.
- Load and unload consumable chemicals; load outgoing treated water into trucks.
- Monitor filter press operation and coordinate sludge storage.
- Assist operators with water sampling and plant maintenance as needed.
