Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Civil Graduate Engineer to join our Water Resources team in Dallas, TX. You will support a licensed Civil Engineer, learn our practices, and contribute to design, calculations, and project tasks while pursuing professional licensure.

Expected start date is January 2026 or May/June 2027. The role emphasizes teamwork, QA/QC adherence, and collaboration with agency staff to deliver public infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering or equivalent and/or ability to obtain within 6–12 months.
• Engineer-in-Training Certificate (EIT) or ability to obtain within 6–12 months.

Responsibilities

• Assist project team in design of public infrastructure work.
• Provide technical, day-to-day design support to the Project Engineer, including drafting support for plan production activities.
• Prepare engineering reports, feasibility studies, and utility evaluations.
• Prepare drawings and visual aids.
• Prepare exhibits and design drawings using AutoCAD Civil3D, Bluebeam, MicroStation, Open Roads, HEC RAS, or related software.
• Follow internal QA/QC procedures and engineering standards.
• Observe construction activities to learn construction methods and translate drawings into the constructed product.
• Coordinate with agency staff and internal teams on designs and issues.
• Use Microsoft Office to develop calculations in Excel, reports/letters in Word, and presentations in PowerPoint.
• Other duties as assigned.

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Civil Graduate Engineer to join our Water Resources team.

In this role, you are expected to work on a team providing support to a licensed Civil Engineer while learning the company’s standard practices and local agency codes. As part of our Public Infrastructure team, you will be dedicated to becoming proficient in Design Software, performing technical calculations, preparing plans and specifications, and assisting with other project management and engineering tasks. In pursuit of a Professional Engineering license, the applicant must be organized, self-motivated, and able to collaboratively solve complex issues on time and within budget.

Job Requirements:
