Job summary

Arcadis is seeking an entry-level Water Resources Engineer to join our Resilience Water Team, based out of Milwaukee, WI, with consideration for candidates in Chicago, IL. You will evaluate and design water/wastewater conveyance facilities and support sustainability projects.

The role requires a Civil or Environmental Engineering degree, 0-2 years of design experience, and proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D; EIT or ability to obtain within six months is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or a related field of study.
• 0-2 years of relevant design or consulting engineering firm experience or municipal work environment using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• EIT or the ability to obtain within 6 months of being hired.
• Master's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or a related field of study.
• Experience in preparing and reviewing project drawings, specifications, schedules and cost estimates.
• Experience with hydraulic modeling software. GIS, database management and data analysis experience.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, plan, design, permit, and support management of water/wastewater conveyance projects (pipelines, pumping facilities, levees, stormwater).
• Prepare design calculations, portions of technical reports, site drainage, and grading plans.
• Develop engineering plans and specifications for conveyance and treatment projects.
• Support construction activities: observation, RFIs, permit closeouts.
• Learn and use digital tools: SharePoint, BIM, Power BI, AR to enhance collaboration.
