Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Water Resources Engineering Intern to join the Water / Wastewater team in Chicago, IL for Summer 2027. You will work with experienced professionals on projects addressing water quality, scarcity, reuse and resilience, gaining hands-on experience in fieldwork, data analysis and client interactions.

The role offers onboarding and development programs, exposure to Power BI and SharePoint, and opportunities to collaborate across locations and teams.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Strong interest in water resources, sustainability, and resilience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in project evaluation, planning and design for water/wastewater/stormwater systems.
• Support development of sustainability and resilience projects.
• Participate in field tasks: site visits, sampling, water quality analyses.
• Help manage databases and generate reports for client meetings.
• Utilize data analytics and assist with dashboards and presentations.
