Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Water Resources Engineering Intern to join our Water/Wastewater team in Chicago, IL for Summer 2027. You will assist on projects addressing water quality, scarcity, reuse, and resilience, while learning from experienced professionals and gaining hands-on experience in design and analytics.

You’ll work with AutoCAD, ArcGIS, Revit, SQL Server, and Power BI within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team across locations, focusing on sustainability and client-facing deliverables.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience or coursework with AutoCAD, ArcGIS, and/or Revit preferred.
• Familiarity with data analytics and basic reporting tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in evaluation, planning, and design of water/wastewater projects.
• Support fieldwork activities: site visits, sampling, and water quality analyses.
• Contribute to asset management projects and data analysis.
• Help prepare reports and presentations for client meetings.
• Develop dashboards and utilize SQL/SharePoint for data management.
