Job summary

Simon Property Group in Indianapolis is seeking a Utility Billing Specialist I to complete and coordinate utility charge calculations for tenants at assigned facilities. The role also validates calculations performed by Energy Services staff or third-party providers and handles accounting for utility services.

The ideal candidate has a business degree or equivalent experience, expert Excel skills, and strong written and verbal communication to interact with property management and finance teams.

Qualifications

• Business degree or 4 years related experience required.
• Expert Excel user with working knowledge of Access and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to communicate at various management levels.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate utility information is accounted for by property.
• Charge calculations for gas, water, electricity and/or central plant/HVAC; complete financial documentation as required.
• Coordinate planning and implementation of energy audits between third parties and property managers.
