Job summary

Simon Property Group is seeking a corporate accountant in Indianapolis to review, maintain and analyze areas of accounting within Corporate Financial Reporting departments.

You will prepare monthly close journal entries, ensure timely close, review trial balances, and assist with budgets and forecasts. Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in Accounting, internship experience, and are pursuing CPA licensure with strong analytical and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
• Accounting internship in either public accounting or corporate environment is preferred.
• Working towards CPA license is a plus.
• Effective analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly close journal entries for assigned areas in accordance with GAAP.
• Ensure monthly close process for assigned areas is performed accurately and timely.
• Review and maintain documentation for assigned areas in the trial balances/general ledger.
• Analyze results, transactions and/or financial statements monthly.
• Prepare and distribute monthly financial reporting information to internal personnel.
• Assist in the preparation and review of the annual budget and quarterly forecast updates for assigned areas.
• Participation in special projects, as assigned.
