Job summary

Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey is seeking an entry-level underwriting support role to assist with new and renewal accounts. You will collect data, set up accounts, rate, issue quotes and binders, and help ensure efficient underwriting processes.

You will work with underwriters and internal partners to resolve service needs, interpret data, and prepare pricing data using STEPWISE, gaining foundational skills in analysis and problem-solving.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma/GED required.
• Minimum of two (2) years experience in operational role.
• Basic understanding of the healthcare industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational support for new and renewal accounts including data collection, setup, rating, quotes and binders.
• Assist in ensuring underwriting processes are efficient and accurate.
• Provide required reports and analysis to Underwriters.
• Interpret data and set up accounts in appropriate system(s) with accuracy.
• Monitor underwriting funnel performance and renewals, quoting volume and trends.
