Job summary

Sandvik in Pennsylvania seeks an engineer to support the design and development of underground mining equipment. You will develop drawings, specifications, and provide technical guidance to cross-functional teams to ensure safety, manufacturability, and reliability.

The role requires hands-on field and factory collaboration, willingness to travel, and the ability to read electrical and hydraulic schematics.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in mechanical, electrical or mining required.
• Knowledge of underground mining concepts and practices.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain passport.

Responsibilities

• Develop drawings and specifications for Sandvik mining equipment.
• Support design and development of underground mechanical cutting machines.
• Review specifications for manufacturability, safety and functionality.
• Provide technical training and support to the Sandvik service network and end users.
• Assist in field testing, commissioning and trials of new products.
