Job summary

Sandvik is seeking an engineer to design and support underground mechanical cutting equipment. You will develop drawings and specifications, analyze designs for safety and manufacturability, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable operation.

Responsibilities include field testing, commissioning support, and providing technical guidance to customers and service networks. The role requires MSHA knowledge, CAD skills, and the ability to travel and work underground.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in mechanical, electrical or mining.
• Knowledge of underground mining regulations.
• Ability to travel and go underground.

Responsibilities

• Develop drawings and specifications for Sandvik mining equipment.
• Review and analyze engineering designs for safety, manufacturability and efficiency.
• Provide technical training and support for MSHA underground coal applications and approvals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and Sandvik service network.
• Support field testing, commissioning and customer installations.
• Plan tools, parts and procedures for field and shop tasks.
