Fehr & Peers in San Francisco seeks an Entry-Level Transportation Engineer or Planner to build a strong foundation under seasoned staff. You’ll gain exposure to transportation planning, design, and analysis across multiple project types while growing your skills and professional confidence.

You’ll be involved in studies, public outreach, data collection, and coordinating with project teams. A collaborative, curious mindset and readiness to learn are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or in-progress master’s in transportation, civil engineering, urban planning, or related field.
• Coursework in transportation, planning, math, statistics, or economics; EIT preferred.
• Experience or exposure to field work, traffic analysis, and planning topics.
• Proficiency in Excel, GIS, CAD, and transportation analysis tools listed.

Responsibilities

• Conduct transportation analysis and prepare technical deliverables.
• Participate in meetings and prepare presentations and outreach materials.
• Support project coordination and management activities.
• Engage with professional organizations and industry activities.
• Conduct site visits and collect field data.
• Contribute to Fehr & Peers internal R&D program.
• Learn and adopt new tools and methods while upholding judgment and accountability.
