Fehr & Peers in Seattle is seeking an Entry‑Level Transportation Engineer or Planner to build foundational skills under guidance from senior staff. You will work on transportation planning, engineering, and design projects across planning, operations, and design disciplines.

The role emphasizes curiosity, collaboration, and growth, with exposure to a wide range of projects and opportunities to learn new software and tools while developing professional judgment.

Qualifications

• Completed bachelor’s or in-progress master’s in transportation, civil or electrical engineering, urban and regional planning, or related fields.
• An EIT is preferred for engineering candidates.
• Experience in transportation topics and relevant software/tools is expected.
• Strong written and verbal communication, teamwork and initiative are valued.

Responsibilities

• Conduct transportation analysis and prepare technical deliverables such as memos and reports.
• Participate in meetings and prepare presentations/public outreach materials.
• Support project coordination and management activities.
• Engage with professional organizations and industry activities.
• Conduct site visits and collect field data.
• Explore opportunities to contribute to Fehr & Peers R&D program.
• Learn and adopt new tools and technologies while maintaining professional judgment.
