Zusammenfassung

LaBella Associates is seeking an Entry-Level Transmission Engineer to join our Transmission and Distribution team in Rochester, NY. You will support the design and development of overhead and underground transmission projects, working with experienced engineers and multidisciplinary teams.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in civil, electrical, or mechanical engineering and has 0–3 years of experience.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in civil, electrical, or mechanical engineering from an accredited program.
• 0-3 years of relevant experience.
• PE license is not required, but pursuing it is encouraged.
• Ability to read design drawings.

Aufgaben

• Maintain a positive work atmosphere and communicate professionally with coworkers, project managers, other disciplines, and all employees.
• Assist with creating detailed engineering drawings for underground and overhead transmission lines based on client and industry standards.
• Develop complete design packages with construction details (staking tables, stringing charts, cable pulling, etc.).
• Develop structure framing details, including hardware, insulators, grounding.
• Develop load-bearing element details (duct banks, vaults, spacers, splicing, grounding).
• Perform periodic site visits to verify design and provide engineering support during construction.
• Coordinate with internal and external resources to develop detailed designs and attend meetings to update on design status.
• Perform detailed calculations to support the design and create reports.
• Assist in the preparation of cost estimates.
• Develop knowledge of document control, QA/QC, and safety standards.
• Ensure complete and accurate record keeping and quality of work.
