LaBella Associates is seeking an Entry-Level Transmission Engineer to support overhead and underground transmission design. You will work with experienced engineers and multidisciplinary teams to develop detailed drawings and complete design packages.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering and 0–3 years of relevant experience. A PE license is not required but pursued, and strong drawing-reading skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college.
• 0-3 Years’ experience.
• PE license is not required, but the pursuit of one is expected.
• Understands how to read design drawings.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a positive work atmosphere by communicating professionally with coworkers, project managers, and all personnel.
• Assist with creating detailed engineering drawings for underground and overhead transmission lines per client and industry standards.
• Develop complete design packages with construction details (staking tables, stringing charts, cable pulling, etc.).
• Develop structure framing details including hardware, insulators, and grounding per standards.
• Develop load-bearing element details (duct banks, vaults, etc.) including spacers, splicing, grounding details.
• Perform periodic site visits to verify design intent and provide engineering support during construction.

Job description

We are seeking an Entry-Level Transmission Engineer to join our growing Transmission and Distribution team. This position will support the design and development of overhead and underground transmission projects while working alongside experienced engineers and multidisciplinary teams. The ideal candidate has abachelor's degree in civil,electrical, or mechanicalengineeringfrom an accredited engineering program and0-3years of relevantexperience. We are looking for a motivated, collaborative problem-solver who takes initiative, embraces challenges, anddemonstratesthe drive to take ownership of their work and grow into a technical leader.

Responsibilities

• Mustmaintaina positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a professional manner with coworkers,staff, project managers, other disciplines, and all other employees
• Assistwith the creation of detailedengineeringdrawings for both underground and overhead transmission lines based on client and industry standards.
• Assistwith the development of complete design packagesthat incorporate all necessary details for construction (construction staking table,stringingcharts,cable pulling,etc.)
• Develop structure framing structure details, to include hardware, insulators, and grounding detailsbased on client and industry standards
• Developload-bearing elementdetails(duct banks, vaults, etc.) to includespacers, splicing, and grounding details based onclient and industry standards.
• Perform periodic site visits, as required, during the duration of the project to verify design intent and provide engineering support during construction.
• Coordinate with internal and external resources to develop detailed designs and attend regularly scheduled meetings to provideupdateon the status of the design.
• Perform detailed calculations to support the design and create reports to clearly express those calculations.
• Assistin the preparation of cost estimates
• Develop knowledge of internal and external document controlsystem, QA/QC, and safety standards.
• Responsible for complete andaccuraterecord keeping and quality of all work performed

Salary Range: $60,000 - $65,000 per year

The specific salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location.

Preferred Education, Certifications and General Knowledge

• Bachelor’s Degree inCivil,Electrical, or MechanicalEngineering from accredited college
• 0-3Years’ experience
• A PE license is notrequired, but the pursuit ofonis expected
• Understands how to read design drawings

Computer Skills

• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel,Powerpoint)
• AutoDesk(AutoCAD& AutoCAD Civil 3D)
• PLS-CADD, PLS Pole, PLS Tower experience is a plus
• CYMCAP experience is a plus
• ASPEN experience is a plus
