Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Internship and/or related consulting experience preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment and demonstrated critical thinking skills.
• Proficient with AutoCAD, MicroStation, BIM (Revit), Civil 3D, PLS, PLS-CADD, RISA-3D, MathCADD.

Responsibilities

• Assist in transmission line design from conceptual phase through design completion.
• Assist with modifying and reviewing production drawings for high voltage transmission lines (69-500kV).
• Assist in designing transmission line components including plan and profile drawings, structure load diagrams and foundation drawings.
• Applies basic knowledge of commonly used civil/structural engineering concepts, principles, practices, codes, and procedures.
• Assists with researching and compiling project data and reports.
• Assists with correcting and updating drawings in CAD software.
• Assists with client presentations, shop drawing review, and contract administration.
• Assists in field inspections, measurements or calculations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
