Job summary

Executive Alliance has partnered with a client in Hauppauge, NY, to hire a Junior Test Engineer for product testing and development testing. The candidate will build test setups, perform qualification testing, and develop test software and automation.

Collaboration with design and production teams is essential to resolve test issues across shifts. Requirements include a BSEE or equivalent, power electronics background, and some exposure to software development (C#).

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with design engineers on test equipment hardware and software issues.
• Maintain and repair test stations hardware, software, and interface adapters.
• Assist production personnel to resolve test-related issues.
• Develop PCB test jigs, qualification tests, and test documentation.
• Create test routines and automate tests for production.
• Support ATE integration and related development.
• Assist in troubleshooting and repairing returned products when needed.

Job description

Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Junior Test Engineer to work in product testing and product development testing. The candidate will work with and report to production and engineering managers. He/she will be responsible for building part test setups, qualification testing, making production test jigs, and developing test routines, test software, and test automation.

Job Function:

• Work with Design Engineers on issues with test equipment hardware, software, reliability, and qualification across multiple shifts and facilities.
• Support maintenance and repair of test station hardware, software and interface test adaptors - both custom designed systems and COTS.
• Work with factory production personnel to resolve test related issues.
• PCB assembly & test traveler document preparation.
• Test box development and initial production run support.
• C# code experience for test development.
• ATE test integration and development.
• When required, support the Design Engineers in troubleshooting and repairing returned products from the customers.

Job Requirement:

Requirements:

• Must have BSEE, electrical engineering degree or relevant military training and experience.
• Candidates should have power electronics background.
• Basic understanding of analog circuit design, circuit analysis, digital circuit design and analog signal conditioning.
• Some exposure to software such as C#, embedded code development, use of de-bugger etc., is desirable.
